Previously known as Mattie Jay, Mathew James Willis (born May 8, 1983) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, television personality, and actor. He is well-known as the bassist, co-vocalist, and co-founding member of the pop rock band Busted. On November 20, 2006, Willis issued his debut solo album, Don’t Let It Go to Waste. Three of the top 20 singles are on it.
Willis won the sixth season of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! on ITV in December 2006, and he went on to co-present the ITV2 spin-off program with his wife Emma in 2007 and 2008. Willis portrayed Luke Riley in the BBC One serial opera EastEnders and Garth Stubbs in the relaunched ITV satire Birds of a Feather in 2014.
