Naga Munchetty has been receiving a lot of love and encouragement after her four-month journey to recover from an injury. As a host on BBC Breakfast, she joyfully announced her milestone of completing her second run for the week. This achievement signifies her comeback to fitness after being sidelined for four months due to the injury.

On Instagram, she posted a sweaty selfie after her run, captioning it: “Yes! I did it again… feeling stronger every day.”

As she eases back into her workout routine, Naga, 49, emphasized the need for patience, saying, “Taking it slowly… #patience.”

This achievement comes after a lengthy recovery from a foot injury she suffered last year, which significantly impacted her daily life.

During a segment on BBC Breakfast last April, she reflected on her injury, stating: “Right now, I’m injured. My foot is hurt, and I’ve had to walk very, very slowly. It was quite serious. For about six weeks, I was limping.”

When asked how she got injured, Naga jokingly remarked it was from “kicking someone who gave me unsolicited advice.”

In a joyful social media update, she wrote, “First full run after 4 months of being injured. Feeling GOOD!” Her announcement received a wave of support from her loyal fans, who cheered her on.

“Coming back is haaaard!! Good on you,” one fan wrote, while another encouraged, “Slowly but surely Naga, keep it going.”

A third supporter added, “Keep going, you’ll get stronger every day,” and a fourth shared, “I’ve been out for three months with an injury. Getting back into exercise has changed my whole mindset for the better. Well done you!”

Naga, a dedicated fitness enthusiast, regularly shares updates about her running journey with her followers. Before her injury, she often posted her daily mileage on Instagram. However, her dedication to health and wellness has faced some hurdles.

In 2021, Naga revealed that she was left “hobbling” due to Achilles tendonitis, an overuse injury that affects the Achilles tendon, causing considerable pain and inflammation.

During her segment on BBC’s Morning Live, Naga openly talked about her injury while sharing her love for running.

“Running is a passion of mine, even though I’ve dealt with Achilles tendinitis and a dislocated knee, along with a few other injuries,” she told host Gethin Jones.

She went on to explain her motivation for taking up running. “At 46 years old, I was advised at 40 to think about the risk of osteoporosis, and it was stressed that impact exercises are crucial. This is what inspired me to start running,” she added.
