Tyler Badie Injury: What Happened To Tyler Badie?
Before Sunday’s second quarter against the New York Jets began, Tyler Badie was taken off the sidelines and put on a backboard.
The Broncos declared that Badie would not be returning because of a back injury, but they later ruled him out.
Following the game, head coach Sean Payton stated he had “no update” on Badie’s health and would not indicate if the running back will return to Denver with the team.
Just before the first quarter came to a finish, Badie grabbed a pass from Bo Nix on a third down play. Quincy Williams hit her right away, causing a 4-yard loss, and she mishandled the ball. For the Jets, Michael Carter II made a recovery.
After leaving the pitch, Badie was observed by trainers lying on his back and receiving examinations on the sidelines. After that, he was hoisted into a cart and secured onto a board to be removed from the field.
Earlier this week, the Broncos signed Badie from the practice squad to the active roster. After being signed from Baltimore’s practice squad at the end of the 2022 season, he is currently in his third season with Denver.
After Badie’s departure, Denver was already without rookie running backs Blake Watson and Audric Estime, leaving Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin in the position.
