DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Dillon County authorities are looking for two “armed and dangerous” suspects after a woman was shot and killed Thursday afternoon at South of the Border.

Aalyiah Monique Priest, 22, and Ja’Heem Antwan Pernell, 19, both of Hamer, are facing murder charges in the shooting, according to the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office. Pernell is also facing a charge of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The sheriff’s office said Priest and Ja’Heem Pernell “should be considered armed and dangerous” and said anyone who sees them should immediately contact law enforcement and not approach them.

No additional details about the investigation were immediately available. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Ryan Bethea at 843-841-3707 or to email him at rbethea@dillonsheriff.org.
