2023 Aiken County Murder Case: Trio of Suspects Arrested, Investigation Intensifies

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. – The Aiken County Sheriff’s Department has announced further breakthroughs in the 2023 case involving the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Jatavious Harris.

On July 17, 2023, authorities were called to 820 Old 96 Indian Trail following reports of a shooting, where they discovered the victim lying on the floor.

After thorough investigations, Jquan Kentrall Bowers from Monetta was apprehended on October 12, 2025.

Bowers faces charges of Murder, alongside four counts of Attempted Murder, in addition to multiple weapon-related offenses.

Persisting in their efforts, the investigators have now also arrested 22-year-old Antavis Jaryan Pickens, also hailing from Monetta.

Pickens has been charged with Murder, 4 counts of Attempted Murder, and weapon charges.

He was located by Aiken County Sheriff’s Office investigators with assistance from the US Marshals Carolina Fugitive Task Force.

Pickens is currently incarcerated in the Aiken County Detention Center.

Investigators have also obtained warrants on 27-year-old Omarious Jawan Todman, of Monetta
and 24-year-old Daniel Timothy Harris, of Monetta. Todman will be charged with Murder, 4
counts of Attempted Murder, and weapon charges, and Harris will be charged with Accessory
After the Fact to Murder.

Both Todman and Harris are incarcerated in the Lexington County Detention Center and will be brought back to Aiken at a later date.
