CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) – The Big Ten announced matchups for the 2025-26 women’s basketball season on Wednesday.

With 18 member schools, the days of every team playing each other twice are long gone. Illinois will play a home-and-home with just one conference foe next season: Northwestern.

The Illini will meet every other Big Ten team just once in the regular season.

Notably, Illinois avoids a trip to California. The Illini will still play UCLA and USC, the top two teams in the conference from the 2024-25 campaign, but both will come to State Farm Center.

Ben Humrichous to return to Illinois

The Illini will make a trip to northwest to visit Washington and Oregon. Shauna Green’s squad will only meet Iowa in Iowa City.
