BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — A 19-year-old in Abingdon was charged with multiple child pornography charges after police searched and seized several of his computers.

Arron Courtney, 19, was arrested at his residence in the 400 block of Clinton Avenue on Friday.

Courtney was charged with one count of possession of child pornography and four counts of possession of child pornography 2nd or subsequent offense, according to the Bristol Virginia Police Department (BVPD).

The Bristol, Virginia Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and the Abingdon, Virginia Police Department discovered the evidence on Courtney’s computer after a cyber tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children task force.

The BVPD said, “Several computers and other electronic devices were seized during the search.”

Courtney is being held at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail on a $10,000 bond. Further charges are anticipated as the investigation continues, the BVPD said.
