A man facing serious charges for allegedly setting his mother and her residence on fire in Boones Creek made a court appearance this Thursday in Jonesborough, Tennessee.

Dustin Machen, a 32-year-old resident of Gray, stands accused of multiple offenses, including attempted first-degree murder, attempted especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated arson, aggravated burglary, and obstructing a 911 call.
