AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. – The Aiken County Career & Technology Center recently held its popular Community Night, drawing interest from students and residents alike.
This event served as a platform for students to present their impressive skills and innovative projects to the public.
In addition, the evening marked a moment of celebration for school officials as they announced the imminent opening of a brand-new Career and Technology Center. This state-of-the-art facility is set to welcome students in the upcoming school year.
“The anticipation for the new center has been tremendous,” shared David Harris, the principal of Aiken County Career and Technical Center, reflecting the community’s enthusiasm.
During the event on October 28, the school also unveiled its fresh logo for the new facility. The design incorporates various elements representing all the high schools within Aiken County, adding a sense of unity and pride.
The logo’s color palette includes Smoke Gray, Stardust, Silver, Dark Gray, Galaxy Blue and a hint of Copper. Its nine stars represent the eight high schools and Special Populations/Special Programs. The gears highlight the Aiken Works branding, the column reflects Aiken Technical College and the new architecture of the building, and the flame signifies the Aiken County Public Schools torch.
The One Cent Sales Tax helped pay for the center.
