JACKSON, S.C. () – A 40-year-old Aiken County man has been sentenced to federal prison for the production of child sexual abuse material, the United States Department of Justice’s South Carolina District announced Friday.

Adam Sloan, of Jackson, S.C., has been sentenced to more than 17 years in federal prison after he plead guilty to production of child sexual abuse material.

According to the DOJ, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents “identified Sloan as a user committing online fraud and conducted a search warrant at his residence on April 18, 2023.”

During a search of electronic devices seized from Sloan, investigators found multiple files depicting child sexual abuse material captured by a hidden camera in Sloan’s bathroom. The minor female victims were at his home for birthday parties, pool parties and sleepovers, according to officials.

The following case was investigated by the FBI Columbia Field Office and the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
