AIKEN, S.C. – An Aiken County school bus monitor has been charged following an alleged incident earlier this year.
McDonald Walker, 78, was taken into custody on Friday, April 3, by the Aiken Department of Public Safety. He faces charges of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 16, as well as felony criminal solicitation of a minor.
The charges stem from an alleged incident reported by the Aiken Department of Public Safety. According to their report, Walker was serving as a monitor on a school bus within the Aiken County School District at the time.
The report details that on March 6, Walker allegedly approached the victim after leaving his seat to speak with her. Following this interaction, the victim was reportedly seen crying. As she exited the bus, Walker is said to have made another comment to her.
Walker reportedly surrendered himself to authorities following the issuance of the charges.
