ALLENDALE COUNTY, S.C. () – Allendale-Fairfax High School announced Friday that the 2025 graduation ceremony will be moved indoors because of “numerous rumors of threats.”

In a statement posted to the the school’s Facebook page on May, 23, officials confirmed the graduation will still be held on May 30 at 7 p.m., but will be relocated to the Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School.

“Unfortunately, this is our only location to use as the high school is under massive renovation,” the statement reads in part. “While we realize this is an inconvenience, we must make safety for all a priority.”

Tickets have been limited to six per family. Each graduate will receive four gym tickets and two overflow room tickets.

No bags, flowers, balloons or noise making devices will be allowed, and metal detectors and scan wands will be used upon entry. Re-entry will not be allowed if someone leaves.

The ceremony will be live streamed on the school’s Facebook and YouTube channel.
