Amazon and Shopify Recall Fans Over Fire Safety Concerns

NEW YORK (WPIX) – Electric fans available on Amazon and Shopify are under recall due to potential fire risks, as announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Manufactured in China and distributed by the Las Vegas-based company SNOOZ, these fans were sold between June 2023 and December 2025.

The recall specifically targets the Breez 2-in-1 Smart Bedroom Fan and White Noise Machines. The issue lies with a power connector inside the fan that may corrode, leading to overheating.

This recall follows multiple reports of fans overheating and emitting smoke. Alarmingly, there has been at least one instance of a fire, according to the CPSC.

Consumers can identify the affected products by checking for serial numbers BZ10 or BZ02 on the bottom of the fan’s wooden base. Approximately 11,000 units are involved in this recall.

SNOOZ is issuing replacements for customers who purchased the recalled fans. Consumers are asked cut the cord and take a photo, and take another photo of the adapter showing the model number.

“Please send these photos and your shipping information to breez@getsnooz.com,” the company says. Consumers with additional questions can also email cs@getsnooz.com for more information.
