Amazon driver caught on video purportedly pooping on porch of home, urinating at another

LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – A couple of Los Angeles families woke up to interesting — and smelly — Mother’s Day deliveries on Sunday.

A pair of videos submitted to Nexstar’s KTLA show a delivery driver for Amazon pull down her shorts and relieve herself on the front porches of two Woodland Hills homes.

Amazon later confirmed to KTLA that the woman will no longer be delivering packages on the company’s behalf.

In the first video, the woman is shown climbing up the stairs to the Provencher family’s front porch on Sunday to deliver a package. The home security footage showed what appeared to be a completely normal occurrence — until it wasn’t.

The Provenchers said the driver left a second, unwelcome delivery on the first stair – what appeared to be human feces. The ground in front of the fecal matter appeared to be wet from an unknown substance as well. A surveillance camera captured the driver pulling up her shorts before walking down the driveway.

Video of the planter outside of the property showed a dirty paper towel littered on the ground.

After seeing KTLA’s initial coverage of the first video, another family submitted video showing what appears to be the same woman entering through their wooden gate and delivering a package before dropping her shorts and urinating on the brick walkway.

The footage was taken at about 6:06 a.m. Sunday.

The woman’s face is clearly visible, and she appears to make eye contact with the homeowners’ Ring camera at one point.

When asked for a statement, Amazon provided the following to KTLA:

“We’re deeply disturbed by the unacceptable behavior of this delivery driver and apologize to the customers involved. We immediately identified the driver and they are no longer delivering on behalf of Amazon.”

While the motivation behind the caught-on-camera driver’s actions is unclear, Amazon drivers in the Los Angeles area and elsewhere have complained of the pressure they work under. Multiple drivers told LAist.com that it was common for delivery drivers to urinate in bottles to avoid falling behind schedule while searching for a restroom.

In 2023, three delivery drivers in Colorado sued the commerce giant alleging that Amazon, which closely tracks its delivery trucks, violated labor laws by making it “virtually impossible for drivers to pause from work for even a few minutes without facing discipline.”

In the complaint, drivers said they had to “urinate in bottles in the back of delivery vans, defecate in bags, and, in many cases, to restrain themselves from using the bathroom at risk of serious health consequences.”

In a statement to Nexstar’s KDVR, Amazon spokesperson Sam Stephenson responded to the lawsuit, saying, “We want to make it clear that we encourage our Delivery Service Partners to support their drivers. That includes giving drivers the time they need for breaks in between stops, providing a list within the Amazon Delivery app of nearby restroom facilities and gas stations, and building in time on routes to use the restroom or take longer breaks.”
