ORLANDO, Fla. – The season’s first big cold front delivered the coolest morning Central Florida has felt in months.

The last time it was 63 degrees or cooler at the Orlando International Airport was April 30.

Sunday also ended a record-long streak of temperatures in the Orlando area not falling below 70 degrees at 149 days. The next closest stretch was 134 days.

The cool mornings and comfortably warm afternoons are expected to continue for the week ahead.

Under clear skies temperatures are expected to fall back into upper 50s and low 60s Monday morning.

Dominant sunshine will help push temperatures back into the low-to-mid 80s Monday afternoon.

Most of the week ahead will be sunny with temperatures climbing into the low-to-mid 80s.

Dew point temperatures will remain in the low-to-mid 60s which means humidity will be limited through the work week.

Rain chances will be limited at best through the week ahead.

Coastal Concerns

The tidal flooding of the weekend will gradually easy early this week. A coastal flood advisory continues through the Sunday night high tide cycle.

The high tide cycles to come should continue to be lower than they were through the start of the weekend.

Minor coastal flooding by way of higher-than-normal tides will continue through Monday.
