Anticipate a Summer-Like Transition: Forecast Predicts Warmer, Wetter Days Ahead

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is transitioning into a pattern reminiscent of summer, with both temperatures and chances of rain on the rise as we move through the weekend and into the coming week.

FRIDAY

Friday afternoon marks the beginning of a significant warming trend, with temperatures expected to reach the low to mid-80s under partly cloudy skies. A gentle southern breeze may trigger a few isolated showers along the sea breeze, with a 20-30% chance of rain.

WEEKEND

As the weekend approaches, temperatures will continue their upward trajectory. Expect highs in the mid to upper 80s on both Saturday and Sunday. Winds will shift more to the south and southwest, causing the sea breeze to slow down.

This setup will help boost the chance for afternoon storms a bit farther east each day (30-40%). Rain chances also tick up slightly, with scattered showers and storms possible both days, especially in the afternoon and evening.

NEXT WEEK

By early next week, the pattern stays warm and mostly quiet with the big story being the heat.

Temperatures are expected to stay above average in the mid to upper 80s Monday and Tuesday, then climb even higher into the low to mid 90s across much of the inland areas by late week.
