As the year winds down, music enthusiasts across the globe eagerly anticipate the reveal of their top artists, songs, genres, and podcasts with the 2025 edition of Spotify Wrapped.
While Spotify hasn’t confirmed an exact release date for Wrapped, it traditionally makes its appearance around this time annually, creating a buzz among users.
When has Spotify released its past Wrapped data?
- 2024: Dec. 4
- 2023: Nov. 29
- 2022: Nov. 30
- 2021: Dec. 1
- 2020: Dec. 1
- 2019: Dec. 5
Spotify changes its tracking stats
In the past, Spotify concluded its data collection for Wrapped on October 31, which meant any music played in November and December was not reflected in the annual recap. However, Newsweek reports that Spotify has since revised its approach, now including listening data from both November and December in the year-end summary.

To enjoy the 2025 Wrapped experience, Spotify users need to ensure their mobile app is up to date. Once the feature is live, a notification will appear upon opening the app, guiding users to their personalized year in music.
How to access your Spotify Wrapped
To access the 2025 Wrapped feature, Spotify users must update their mobile app. Once the data is released, users should see a notification about their 2025 Spotify Wrapped when they open the app.
Over the years, Spotify has added features to Spotify Wrapped, including “editorial, personalized playlists as well as global top lists that celebrate how hundreds of millions of fans worldwide listened throughout the year,” according to the company.
