GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. () – The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) has made an arrest following a traffic stop involving a stolen car.
On Monday, February 24th, at approximately 9:04 am, An officer was patrolling southbound on Interstate 95 near mile marker 35. As the officer passed a black Toyota RAV-4, the License Plate Recognition System alerted him that the RAV-4 had been reported stolen from North Carolina. The officer radioed for assistance and conducted a traffic stop near mile marker 32.
The driver, 36-year-old Delisha Oxendine from Trinity, North Carolina, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Glynn County Police Department.

GCPD Major Crimes Investigators interviewed Ms. Oxendine who admitted to stealing the vehicle from her mother that morning. During the investigation, it was learned that Ms. Oxendine was on probation for vehicle theft and had cut off her ankle monitor.
Ms. Oxendine is now charged with Theft by Bringing Stolen Property into the State. When released, she will be facing charges of vehicle theft and violating her probation in North Carolina.
