PANA, Ill. (WCIA) — A 42-year-old man from Stewardson has been arrested in Pana on multiple methamphetamine related charges.
In March 2025, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and Central Illinois Enforcement Group (CIEG) started an investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs via U.S. Mail into the Pana area. On Tuesday at approximately 1 p.m., Alan J. Logsdon, 42 of Stewardson, was arrested at the Pana Post Office at 214 S Locust St. by the Pana Police Department after being in possession of multiple suspected packages.
Logsdon was charged with possession of over 100 grams of methamphetamine and meth trafficking. In regard to the meth trafficking, more than 234 grams of purported meth has been recovered. After being taken into custody, Logsdon was transported to the Christian County Correctional Center.
The Christian County States Attorney, Christian County Sheriff’s Office and Pana Police Department are all assisting the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and CIEG in this investigation.
