SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Investigators are looking for a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman on the Seminole Wekiva Trail on Monday afternoon, according to a news release.
Deputies said around 4 p.m. a woman was walking on the trail near the intersection of State Road 434 and Douglas Avenue when she was approached by an unknown man who with an electric scooter.
According to the release, the man dragged the victim toward the woodline of the trail, but a nearby citizen heard her cries for help, located her, and called 911.

Deputies said the suspect is described as a Black man in his mid-20s between 5 feet seven inches and 6 feet tall with short eye-level hair twists. He was last seen wearing a white ball cap, athletic shorts, and may have initially been wearing a red shirt, though he fled shirtless.
“There will be an increased law enforcement presence in the area while the investigation continues,” deputies said in the release. “The Sheriff’s Office reminds all individuals walking, jogging, biking, or exercising outdoors to stay alert and aware of their surroundings.”
