NEW YORK (WPIX) – Walmart has announced a recall of a product flagged by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission as posing a “risk of serious injury or death.”

This recall, made public on Thursday, affects the AOWOS 12-Drawer Dressers. These dressers have been found to be unstable unless they are securely anchored to a wall.

The dressers are roughly 39 inches by 12 inches in size and weigh approximately 42 pounds.

Without proper anchoring, these furniture pieces carry the risk of tipping over, potentially leading to severe injuries or even fatalities among children, as noted in the recall announcement. The specific model numbers involved are 12DRW01, 12DRW02, 12DRW11, 12DRW13, 12DRW19, 12DRW20, and 12DRW27.

These dressers were available for purchase on Walmart’s website between September 2023 and August 2025. They are manufactured by Shenzhen Shuanglong Home Furnishing Co., Ltd., located in China.

Anyone who has purchased one of these dressers should immediately stop using it and place it in an area that children cannot access.

The recall comes shortly after retail giant Amazon recalled a dresser sold online that is also a potentially hazardous tip-over risk.

Consumers can contact AOWOS for instructions on how to dispose of the dressers and receive a full refund. To contact AOWOS, call the toll-free number at 888-919-9734 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time Monday through Friday, or by email at AOWOSRecall@outlook.com.
