AUGUSTA, Ga. () – Marco’s Pizza delivered free pizza to every fire station in Augusta on Friday to celebrate and thank firefighters on Valentine’s Day.

Trevor Dent, general manager of Marco’s Pizza, said it’s their way of showing appreciation to emergency management for their work.

“So we’re just giving out some donations… We had partnered with our fire departments before so you know, I love to give out free food especially when it comes to our service workers and all that,” he said.

“The citizens in this community, donate nonstop every single day to the fire department,” said Chiquita Richardson, PIO for the Augusta Fire Department. “A lot of those donations go unnoticed because we’re not able to publicize every single thing but we’re definitely thankful for anything that’s being donated to our firefighters as they are out working tirelessly in this community.”

The firefighters said they are thankful for the kindness and support.
