AUGUSTA, Ga. () – Authorities from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office are on the lookout for a man suspected of opening fire on several individuals on Kensington Drive, located in the Georgetown neighborhood, this past Wednesday.

According to the victims, the suspect, 25-year-old Thomas Lee Roberts, approached them as they sat in a driveway, inquiring about “what type of time they were on.”

It was at this moment that Roberts allegedly brandished a firearm and began to retreat.

As the victims drove away from the residence, they passed Roberts’ vehicle, prompting him to allegedly start shooting at them.

Roberts is said to have pursued their vehicle, with one bullet grazing a woman. The chase continued along Kensington Drive West, culminating in a crash involving the victims’ vehicle.

One victim told authorities that Roberts may be looking for his sons for some reason.

The suspect’s vehicle was taken to 400 Walton Way for processing.

The RCSO says Thomas Roberts frequents the areas of Georgetown and Meadowbrook in Augusta.

He should be considered Armed And Dangerous.

Anyone who comes into contact with Thomas Roberts or has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Investigator Charlie Walker or any on-call investigator at the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at 706-821-1258 or 706-821-1020.
