Authorities Request Public Assistance Following Gunfire Incident at Decatur Residence

DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — Authorities in Decatur are reaching out to the public for assistance following a weekend incident where gunfire struck a residence. Inside the home were a 40-year-old woman and three teenagers.

According to Sergeant Hagemeyer, two officers on duty near Decatur Memorial Hospital heard gunshots around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. Shortly afterward, a report came in about shots fired in the vicinity of N. Barnes Drive and W. Pershing Road.
