AUGUSTA, Ga. – In a significant gesture of support, Bank of America has contributed $30,000 to Golden Harvest Food Bank in Augusta, underscoring their commitment to addressing food insecurity in the community.
The generous donation was formally acknowledged during a check presentation ceremony held at the food bank’s headquarters on Thursday, December 19.
Ora Parish, the president of Bank of America Augusta-Aiken, expressed pride in the bank’s partnership with the food bank. “Golden Harvest Food Bank is making a meaningful impact in Augusta by combating hunger,” Parish stated. “Our ongoing investment reflects Bank of America’s commitment to providing essential resources and support aimed at fostering long-term community prosperity.”
Amy Breitmann, who leads Golden Harvest Food Bank as president and CEO, highlighted the importance of this contribution. “The funding, along with the volunteer efforts from Bank of America employees, plays a crucial role in ensuring that families have continued access to nutritious food, enabling them to thrive,” Breitmann noted.
“This investment, paired with the time Bank of America employees give through volunteering, helps ensure families continue to have access to nutritious food that helps them thrive,” she said.
