BARNWELL COUNTY, S.C. – The Barnwell County Sheriff’s Office took Chemar Treyvon Black into custody on May 14th following a comprehensive investigation into narcotics activities.

According to a Facebook announcement by the agency, the investigation also uncovered evidence related to illegal dog fighting operations.

The investigation received support from the SLED Fugitive Team and the SLED Dog Fighting Unit, who played crucial roles in uncovering these activities.

Chemar Black faces several charges, including:

  • Distribution of Methamphetamine 2nd Offense
  • Distribution, Sell, Manufacture, Possession With Intent to Distribute near a School x9
  • Possession With Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine 2nd Offense x2
  • Trafficking Cocaine 2nd Offense
  • Trafficking Fentanyl 2nd Offense
  • Trafficking Methamphetamine 2nd Offense
  • Driving Under Suspension 2nd Offense
  • Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime x3
  • Unlawful Possession of a Machine Gun x2
