State baseball scores: 1A and 2A semifinals in Champaign

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) – Illinois Field on the campus of the Illini is home to the state baseball tournament the weekend of June 6-7 for 1A and 2A.

On Friday, Pawnee lost to Father McGivney 16-1 in a class 1A semifinal. Pawnee will play for third place against Lexington at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

In 2A, Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin beat Eureka 6-5.

Teutopolis is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start in the other 2A semifinal game. The winner of T-Town vs Sterling-Newman Central Catholic will play SHG in the championship game on Saturday at 7 p.m. The loser of the Friday evening game will meet Eureka at 4 p.m. on Saturday in the third place game.
