BEAUFORT, S.C. () — Protestors lined Beaufort’s streets to stand against President Donald Trump and the current administration.

It was a part of the national “May Day” protest, a rally against the war on working people.

Protest organizers said there were over 200 people in attendance.

Several of the protestors claimed that the current state of the country is divided under the president and administration.

“I can’t handle what’s happening in our country and the things that our president and the people around him are doing,” said one protestor.

Another protestor said, “I think we’re in a constitutional crisis right now.”
Many in attendance said they are over “choosing sides” and just want to get back to a “pro-democracy.”
“I don’t like what he’s doing with the people to the border because some of the people look like my friend and look like me,” said one young protestor.

Protest organizers said today brought a little bigger turnout because it was a national rally. They said them and many of the other folks will be back in front of city hall next week to continue to make their voices heard
