LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A bicycle was found at a Lake County intersection this week, nearly two months after its owner went missing from the same spot, according to the sheriff’s office.

In a release, deputies said that the man — identified as Michael Connell — had last been seen on May 29 at the intersection of Kismet Road and CR-445.

“Michael had a broken leg from a vehicle accident,” the release reads. “He was wearing a brown camo jacket and dark blue cargo pants.”

However, his bicycle was discovered on Wednesday at the same intersection that Connell went missing, deputies announced.

According to deputies, Connell is also known to frequent the Umatilla Library, though he doesn’t own a cell phone.
