Bluff City Police: Attempted Burglary Suspects Found

BLUFF CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Bluff City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two individuals involved in an attempted burglary on Thursday.

According to an update from the Bluff City Police Department at 2:51 p.m. Friday, the suspects have been identified and apprehended, and the vehicle has been recovered.

The department said the investigation was a collaborative effort between Bluff City Detectives, Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Kingsport Police Department, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, DEA, FBI, HSI, and the Lee County VA Sheriff’s Office.

According to a news release from the police department, the attempted burglary happened just after 9:30 p.m. at the Knoxville TVA Credit Union in Piney Flats.

The vehicle is reportedly a 2000s dark gray Ford Escape with a swapped registration plate.
