FORSYTH, Ill. (WCIA) — Recently released footage has shed light on the arrest of a Macon County Sheriff’s deputy following a high-speed chase that took place last month. The video provides a clearer picture of the events that unfolded during the early hours of that day.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, 31-year-old Andrew Ziegler from Maroa was clocked speeding along Route 51 near Forsyth at approximately 2 a.m. on December 15, 2025. WCIA obtained the footage through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, offering a detailed look at the incident.
