HINESVILLE, Ga. () — The Bradwell Institute boys basketball team is no stranger to playoff appearances, having secured a spot for five consecutive seasons. However, this time, their ambitions stretch beyond merely participating—they’re aiming for the championship.

Under the leadership of head coach Ty Randolph, Bradwell has clinched its second regional championship. As a result, they hold the top seed in Region 1.

The Tigers are entering the playoffs in impressive form, boasting victories in eight of their last nine matchups.

In a recent interview, Coach Randolph shared his thoughts on the week-long hiatus between the regional tournament’s conclusion and the beginning of the state tournament.

“We’re going straight back into training camp,” Randolph stated. “Our routine includes six or seven days of practice each week. We take Wednesdays off for church, but otherwise, it’s business as usual. Our approach remains unchanged.”

“Just keep getting better defensively. This team right here is this team is still kind of gelling and peaking for the most part.”

Bradwell Institute’s first round opponent is still to be determined. The Tigers will play the No. 4 seed for Region 8.

The GHSA Class AAAAA state tournament starts on Feb. 25.
