In Coffee County, Georgia, a 26-year-old soldier from Fort Stewart found himself facing serious legal troubles as of Friday, May 15. Tyrone Barry Carter Jr. was apprehended on charges of aggravated child molestation, stemming from allegations spanning from 2017 to 2026.
The situation came to light when a deputy from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report in Douglas on February 10. The report concerned alleged sexual assaults that had reportedly taken place over the last nine years. During the investigation, multiple individuals came forward, recounting incidents they claimed occurred during their childhood.

Following his detention at Fort Stewart, Carter Jr. was subsequently transported to Coffee County, where he faces the serious allegations and awaits legal proceedings.
