In Statesboro, Georgia, a man is facing charges after a series of gunshots disrupted the peace at a local apartment complex. The incident unfolded in the early hours of Sunday at the Caribe Court apartments, where 22-year-old Hunter Quinton allegedly fired his weapon multiple times, leading to the evacuation of nearby residents.

Upon arriving at the scene, Statesboro Police officers were met with gunfire from Quinton. In an effort to resolve the situation without further violence, a police negotiator engaged Quinton over the phone, attempting to persuade him to surrender peacefully. However, when these negotiations did not yield the desired result, the police SWAT team resorted to deploying chemical agents into the apartment. Despite this measure, Quinton remained inside.

Eventually, authorities entered the premises and successfully apprehended Quinton. He is now facing serious charges, including criminal damage to property in the first degree and reckless conduct. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident, though the motives behind Quinton’s actions remain unclear.

Officials later entered the apartment and took him into custody. Quinton is now facing charges of criminal damage to property in the first degree and reckless conduct.

Authorities did not report any injuries or what prompted Quinton to discharge his gun.
