In a decisive move, the Paxton City Council has unanimously passed a resolution censuring Alderman Robert Pacey. Although the council lacks the authority to remove Pacey from his position, this censure serves as a formal acknowledgment that his resignation would be in the “best interest of the City and its residents.”

The resolution was adopted during Tuesday night’s meeting, as reported by WCIA’s partners at the Ford County Chronicle. Seven council members cast their votes in favor of the censure, while Alderman Pacey chose to abstain from the voting process.
