DIETERICH, Ill. (WCIA) — A collision involving a train and a tractor occurred in Dieterich on Saturday afternoon, prompting a response from the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office.

At 1:10 p.m., E-Environmental Solutions LLC took to Facebook to report a spill alert, announcing their Effingham team was attending to the train and tractor incident in Dieterich. They advised people to steer clear of the area for safety reasons.
