SAVANNAH, Ga. — In a recent announcement, the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) revealed plans to distribute partial SNAP benefits for November, in line with new federal guidelines.
For households that have missed their regular distribution dates, benefits will be made available by Tuesday, November 11, according to DHS officials. Other recipients will receive their benefits as per the usual monthly schedule.
According to the department, SNAP beneficiaries can expect to receive up to 65% of their standard benefit amount, which will vary based on individual household income and applicable deductions.
DHS is also urging beneficiaries to safeguard their Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards against unauthorized usage. They recommend utilizing the “lock my card everywhere” feature available through the ConnectEBT app or website for added security.
