URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — A tense situation unfolded near the Motel 6 in Urbana as over a dozen police vehicles, including a SWAT unit, converged on an apartment complex.

According to a WCIA reporter on site, authorities utilized a loudspeaker to request that an individual exit the apartment building unarmed. In addition to the significant law enforcement presence, a Carle mobile unit was also stationed at the location, situated on N Cunningham Avenue just below I-74 in Urbana.
