TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Breeze Airways announced its first international flight from Tampa International Airport on Thursday.

The airline will begin a seasonal route to Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay, Jamaica, on Feb. 11.

The route is scheduled to operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

“We are thrilled to not only be a partner in Breeze Airways’ growth since its 2021 inaugural flight at TPA, but to be among its first airports to offer international service,” Tampa International Airport CEO Michael Stephens said. “Thanks to Breeze, Tampa Bay area travelers will soon have quick and convenient access to the vibrant culture and amazing beaches in Montego Bay, Jamaica, one of the world’s top vacation destinations. We look forward to continuing to support Breeze as it expands its reach and serves TPA’s passengers with sought-after flights at low-cost fares.”

The Montego Bay route will be the 30th destination Breeze offers from Tampa International Airport.

Breeze said it is offering a special introductory fare for the new flight, with tickets starting at $99 for a one-way trip.
