It’s a weekend full of sunshine and heat – As the weekend unfolds, Central Florida wakes to a calm, clear morning. High pressure is in control, keeping things dry and sunny across the region.

Saturday is setting up to be a perfect day for outdoor plans. With highs reaching into the low 90s inland and a light breeze (10-15 mph).

The coast stays a little cooler, thanks to that sea breeze, but the sun is still out in full force.

Todays’ highs

For anyone heading to the beach, it’s perfect weather, but there’s a high rip current risk.

Beach Forecast

By Sunday, the heat really starts to build. Expect Orlando to climb to a scorching 94°F, just three degrees shy of the all-time record set in 1908. Inland areas will feel the full intensity of the heat, with temperatures pushing into the mid-90s. The sea breeze will kick in later, offering a bit of relief along the coast, but it’ll still be a hot day everywhere.

Sunday’s highs

The fire danger remains moderate to high across Central Florida, fueled by the ongoing dry and hot conditions.

Fire Danger

Moderate heat risk will be in place for the weekend which means it’s important to stay cool, drink plenty of water, and wear sunscreen.

Moderate heat risk

As we move into Monday, sea breezes will collide, sparking a 30-40% chance of rain and some storms, cooling things down just a bit. By Tuesday, isolated showers will pop up early, but the rest of the week looks dry.
