BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL)— A recently executed undercover sting by the Bristol Tennessee Police Department (BTPD) has culminated in the arrest of eight individuals accused of seeking explicit photographs from minors.
On Monday, the BTPD announced the results of their operation, which primarily targeted what they described as “suspected online predators.” The department explained that these suspects initiated conversations laced with explicit and sexual content, believing they were speaking to a minor, when, in reality, they were interacting with officers under the guise of a girl under 18.
The department further detailed that during these exchanges, some suspects went as far as to either send or request nude images and arrange meetings with the fictional minor with the intention of engaging in sexual activity.
The arrests took place between June 25 and July 15 and included the following individuals:
- Sexual exploitation of a minor via electronic means
- Solicitation of a minor
- Sexual exploitation of a minor via electronic means
- Sexual exploitation of a minor via electronic means
- Sexual exploitation of a minor via electronic means
- Sexual exploitation of a minor via electronic means
According to the release, the BTPD previously arrested six other suspects in May and June of 2026.
