A Bristol resident is facing serious charges after an incident involving the shooting of a dog. According to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), the man has now surrendered to authorities.

The SCSO confirmed on Friday that 64-year-old Russell Metcalf is currently in their custody. This follows the events that transpired over the previous weekend.

The announcement came at 5:22 p.m., with the SCSO stating that Metcalf had voluntarily turned himself in “a short while ago.”
