BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — A Bristol, Virginia man faces drug and ammunition charges after a regional task force searched his home.
According to a news release from the Bristol, Virginia Police Department (BVPD), a search warrant was executed at a home in the 1400 block of Norway St. on Monday night.
The Holston River Drug Task Force, comprised of the BVPD, Washington County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police, conducted the search.
The release states officers found and seized about six ounces of cocaine, Schedule II pills, rounds of ammunition and drug paraphernalia.
“They also discovered thirty-eight packages of THC gummies that were packaged to look like trademark candy,” the release states.
The BVPD identified the resident of the home as Andrew Roark, 65.
Roark was charged with possession of a Schedule I or II drug with intent to distribute and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
He was transported to the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail Authority facility in Abingdon, where he was being held without bond as of Tuesday.
The BVPD noted that the investigation is ongoing, and further charges could be filed.
