SAVANNAH, Ga. () — According to an article published Wednesday on Deadline, actress Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect, Hairspray) has joined the cast of the untitled Hulu Murdaugh Murders limited series as journalist Mandy Matney.

Matney is the Lowcountry journalist whose podcast, Murdaugh Murders Podcast, and book, ‘Blood on Their Hands: Murder, Corruption and the Fall of the Murdaugh Dynasty,’ are the basis for the Hulu series.

The Deadline article describes Matney as “a journalist with a sunny smile and a suspicious view of the world. When Mandy starts searching for a story with teeth, she stumbles upon the news of a girl missing as a result of a boat crash. Mandy uses her keen instinct to unravel the complicated layers of the Murdaugh family and ensure that the guilty party is brought to justice.”

Snow joins the previously announced cast: Jason Clarke as Alex Murdaugh, Patricia Arquette as Maggie Murdaugh, J. Smith-Cameron as Marian Proctor, Johnny Berchtold as Paul Murdaugh, and Will Harrison as Buster Murdaugh.
