BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — A Bristol, Virginia man was arrested on Saturday and charged with abduction, domestic assault and destruction of property after he allegedly held a woman against her will and refused to let her leave her home.
A release from the Bristol Virginia Police Department (BVPD) said Jonathan Logan, 30, of Bristol, was taken to the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon and has since been released on bond.
The BVPD said patrol officers arrived at a home on Oakcrest Circle Saturday amid reports of a domestic situation. Once on the scene, officers spoke to a woman who reported that her boyfriend assaulted her and wouldn’t let her leave her home on Oakcrest Cir. to escape the assault.
“The woman managed to flee to a nearby neighborhood where she contacted the police,” the release states. During an investigation, the release said officers located Logan at the Oakcrest residence and arrested him.
The release said the woman sustained minor injuries as a result of the alleged assault.
