Storm Team 3: Quiet and pleasant weather continues into Sunday

SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Mild weather continues through the rest of the weekend as a cool pattern remains locked in place.

Sunday morning will start off pleasant again with temperatures in the 60s, and mostly sunny skies. Winds will be out of the northeast and it will be breezy at times Sunday.

No significant changes arrive for the forecast as high pressure to our north stays in place. That coupled with an area of low pressure developing off the Southeast Coast will keep winds out of the northeast, leading to mild air remaining.

Humidity will increase by midweek and rain chances come into play for the end of the week. Until then, enjoy the fall-like weather pattern.

The tropics remain quiet in the Gulf, Caribbean, and Southwest Atlantic. Wind shear remains very high and that does not promote any homegrown tropical systems.

A tropical wave moving off the coast of Africa is showing periods of thunderstorm development but continues to lack organization. The National Hurricane Center is giving it a 50% chance of developing into a tropical depression or named storm.

Slow organization is possible during the middle and latter parts of next week, if it can overcome the dry air and shear that has plagued the tropical Atlantic.

There continues to be no tropical threats for the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry.
