SAVANNAH, Ga. — On December 2, the basketball teams of Calvary Day School and South Effingham clashed in a non-region matchup held at Calvary Day’s campus, resulting in a split outcome for the two schools.
In the girls’ game, South Effingham secured their seventh victory of the season with a decisive 56-23 win. This achievement matches the total number of wins the Lady Mustangs recorded last year. Looking ahead, South Effingham aims to notch their eighth win on December 8 when they take on Greenbrier at home.
Meanwhile, in the boys’ game, both teams battled closely during the first quarter, with Calvary Day edging out South Effingham by a single point. However, as the game unfolded, Calvary Day surged ahead to claim an 81-46 victory. The Cavaliers are set to host Groves on December 4 at 6:30 p.m.

Dec. 2 marked the second time these programs faced off this year. The first match up on Nov. 22 provided the same results as Tuesday. South Effingham won on the girls’ side while Calvary Day won on the boys’ side.
