Congratulations are in order for Cardi B.

After weeks of speculation, the Grammy winner confirmed she’s expecting a child with boyfriend, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, made the big announcement in a sit-down interview with CBS Mornings’ Gayle King. She said the baby is due in February, which is before she hits the road for her Lil Miss Drama Tour.

“I’m happy,” she said. “I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong, very powerful that I’m doing all this work, but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby.”

She and Diggs have been romantically linked since late 2024.

“We’re very supportive of each other. We’re like in the same space in our careers,” she said. “I feel like we’re really great and one of the best at what we do. And me and him think the same way. ‘Yeah, you’re one of the greatest, but what’s next. What are we doing again? We have to do it again, all the time.’ We’re never, like, comfortable. We just have to keep going it and that’s just what we are.”

This will be the couple’s first child together.

Cardi has three children Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, 12 months, with ex-husband, rapper Offset, formerly of the group Migos. The couple divorced in July 2024.

Diggs has a daughter from a previous relationship.

During the interview, she revealed she hadn’t yet told her parents about it.

“They just be looking at me,” she revealed. “I’m very scared of my parents!”

Fans have been wondering if Cardi was expecting after noting her sporting a subtle bump while attending recent court proceedings in her assault case.

“I just was like, ‘Can I just say it on my own time?’ Like, I’m not hiding. On my time, on my own terms. Let me close some deals first, you know what I’m saying?” she said. “Let me close some deals first. And it’s like, you don’t really want to say right away that you’re pregnant. It’s like, ‘Let me see a couple of more sonograms. Let my baby be healthy.’ “

The pregnancy comes amid the rollout for her sophomore album “Am I the Drama?”

“By the way, now that I talked about it, y’all better get my album,” she said, addressing her fans. “Y’all wanted to know, right? Now you know. Now y’all can buy my album so I can buy Pampers and diapers and all that type of stuff. I told y’all, now go support my album ’cause I’m a mother of four now!”

“Am I the Drama?” will be out on Sept. 19.
