URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — The corridors of Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana were bustling with costumed trick-or-treaters during the hospital’s annual Trunk-or-Treat celebration. The event served as a heartwarming reunion between nurses and the children they once cared for.

These children, dressed in a variety of costumes, are former patients of the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The event offers nurses a joyful opportunity to witness the remarkable progress these kids have made since their early days in the hospital.
