CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. () — The Chatham County Police Department is investigating a home invasion and shooting that happened Wednesday morning at approximately 7:50 a.m.

Chatham County Police Department officers responded to a home in the 1500 block of Adrian Court. They arrived on the scene and found one man suffering from a gunshot wound. A woman told officers she was outside the home when three men forced her back inside at gunpoint, shot the adult male inside the residence, and took items from the home. The adult male was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Detectives with the Chatham County Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division do not believe that this was a random attack. They are actively working to identify the suspects and process evidence from the crime scene.
